Kinga Karoń


Kinga Karoń M.Sc. (ORCID ID: 0009-0005-9217-5119) is a graduate of the Silesian College of Medicine in Katowice. She obtained her master’s degree in clinical dietetics in 2019, completing a thesis on the role of diet and physical activity in maintaining sexual potency and fertility in sexually active women and men. During her master’s studies, she started working and is still an active clinical dietitian. After gaining experience working with patients, she started lecturing on topics related to clinical dietetics. She has been a lecturer at the Silesian College of Medicine in Katowice, as well as at Akademia Dietetyki, and since April 2021 she has been employed at the Institute of Dietetics and Health Promotion. At her current workplace, she provides dietetic care to patients, as well as creates educational materials and provides training in clinical dietetics. Since October 2023, she has been a doctoral student at the Joint Doctoral School of the Silesian University of Technology conducting research in a doctoral project entitled “The level of inflammatory mediators in blood serum as a predictive factor of response to radiation treatment of non-oncology patients” in the Department of Radiotherapy of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology (MSCNRIO) Gliwice Branch (the thesis supervisor: Dorota Gabryś, M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc.) in cooperation with the Laboratory of Clinical Proteomics at the Centre for Translational Research and Molecular Biology of Cancer MSCNRIO Gliwice Branch (auxiliary supervisor: Monika Pietrowska, Ph.D., D.Sc.).
