Maciej Ciebiada M.Sc., Eng. (ORCID ID: 0000-0003-2349-1407) graduated from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Science at the Technical University of Lodz in 2019 with a degree in biotechnology. His master’s thesis entitled “Effects induced by the interaction of specific bacteriophages with bacteria on immune cells in vitro” was completed at the Institute of Medical Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Lodz. In 2019, he started his Ph.D. project entitled “Fast-growing photosynthetic bacteria as microbial factories” at the Technical University of Lodz and Peking University in the People’s Republic of China. The project was discontinued in 2021 due to the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023, he became a Ph.D. student at the Joint Doctoral School, pursuing the National Science Center project “The role of PDCD6IP protein from plasma exosomes in melanoma progression” realized at the Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology (MSCNRIO) in Gliwice. He carries out his work under the scientific supervision of Monika Pietrowska, Ph.D., D.Sc. from MSCNRIO, and Joanna Polanska, Ph.D., D.Sc. from the Department of Data Science and Engineering, Silesian University of Technology.
