Mateusz Smolarz Ph.D., Eng. (ORCID ID: 0000-0003-1124-0029) graduated from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences of the Lodz University of Technology, major: biotechnology, specialization: molecular biotechnology and technical biochemistry. In 2022, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Center for Translational Research and Molecular Biology of Cancer at Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology Gliwice Branch, entitled “Characterization of the molecular composition of exosomes present in the blood serum of patients with early lung cancer”. From April 2022, he continued to work at the Center for Translational Research and Molecular Biology of Cancer in the Laboratory of Clinical Proteomics as an engineering and technical biotechnologist. Currently, he is doing an internship at the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice as a post-doctoral researcher in a project aimed at studying the effects of narcotic drugs on the nervous system of animals. Scientific interests of Dr. Smolarz focus on intercellular communication, extracellular vesicles, and the regulation of the immune system.
